This post will cover three topics: weight loss, overcoming concussion symptoms and avoiding tragedy.
I hope you are doing well. It has been several months since I shared an update with you. Since releasing my book, “Take Control of Your Health” I’ve been on the most fascinating path of research and discovery that I’ve ever been involved with.
Over the course of my next few updates, I’m excited to share some of the breakthroughs that have helped me become 100% pain and symptom free, eliminate anxiety from my life completely, noticeably reduce body fat and increase muscle mass, super-charge my ability to learn and communicate, enhance my relationships and put me into the best overall level of wellness in my life.
– LOSING WEIGHT –
Let’s start by talking about weight loss. Almost a year ago, I lost 30 pounds of fat in just a few week’s time and have kept it off. I followed the HCG diet, a decades-old program that was reintroduced by best-selling author, Kevin Trudeau, in his book “The Weight Loss Secret ‘They’ Don’t Want You to Know About.” This diet program has since been featured on Dr. Oz and has been all over the media in the past couple of years.
HCG is a hormone that has been discovered to signal the body to burn up abnormal fat reserves for energy. My research and firsthand experience have proven that the diet is very safe and works quickly. I lost about half a pound of fat per day on average. The HCG hormone is taken in very small doses and has no adverse affects that I’m aware of. In fact, if you’re concerned about taking a hormone, consider for a moment that every time you consume beef and milk products from conventional (non-organic) farms, you are exposing yourself to bovine hormones. I believe that taking a human hormone (in the form of HCG) in small doses for a few weeks is a much wiser decision that consuming bovine hormones for a lifetime.
While the standard HCG diet calls for just 500 calories per day, I decided that was not for me. Instead, I followed the doctor-supervised program featured on this web site, which allowed me to consume approximately 1,000 calories per day and still get great results. Another great resource for the HCG diet, is this web site.
If you’re still not convinced the HCG diet is for you, there’s good news. The “slow-carb diet” popularized by best-selling author, Tim Ferris in his fascinating book, “The Four Hour Body” is also known to be very effective in safely and rapidly reducing body fat. I was fortunate to spend a weekend with Tim last year at an action-packed Maverick Business Adventures event. Tim impresses me as a sensible guy who is very thorough in his research and the documented results from his “slow-carb diet” speak for themselves.
– OVERCOMING CONCUSSION SYMPTOMS —
On a more somber note, this summer the National Hockey League has been plagued with bad news. Two of the league’s top stars are out indefinitely with post-concussion symptoms and the lives of three players have tragically ended.
Sydney Crosby is one of the game’s most prolific players. Marc Savard is another NHL all-star scorer. Both players are Stanley Cup champions and both are unlikely to start the NHL season this fall, unless they get some help. I’d like to bring to their attention two solutions they may not be familiar with.
The first solution for concussion-symptoms was introduced to me by former NHL all-star and Stanley Cup Champion, Geoff Courtnall. I met Geoff at Wayne Gretzky Fantasy Camp a few years ago. Geoff’s a super-nice guy and we shared a common interest in holistic health. Like many other players, Geoff retired due to post-concussion symptoms. After a great deal of suffering, Geoff found relief from his concussion symptoms through a treatment known as Neuro Therapy, which was developed by Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt. (The word “neuro” means relating to nerves or the nervous system.)
I’ve had several Neuro Therapy treatments myself and can attest to its effectiveness in instantly releasing clenched muscles and helping the muscles stay relaxed. The muscles around my temples, eyes and the base of my skull used to be chronically tight. A few Neuro Therapy sessions permanently released this chronic muscle tension from my head.
Another physical treatment that I know to be effective for reducing post-concussion symptoms, is called NeuroCranial Restructuring (NCR). NCR was developed by Dr. Dean Howell. Dr. Howell cured me of chronic neck and back pain and I’ve been a strong supporter of him ever since. You can view my video endorsement for NCR here and see a demonstration of me receiving an NCR treatment here. NCR is the ONLY treatment I am aware of that can actually shift the bones of the skull OUTWARDLY away from the brain, giving the brain more protection against further blows.
The bones that make up the skull are like a helmet for your brain. A helmet has a hard shell and a soft foam interior to absorb shock. Areas of the skull which are abnormally indented equate to wearing a helmet that’s missing the protective inner foam in those areas. By looking at a photo of Sydney Crosby, it’s clear to see that he has noticeable indentation on both sides of his skull, near his temples. I too had this problem and after receiving NCR treatments, the indentations were eliminated.
Dr. Howell has helped many athletes overcome post-concussion symptoms and I sincerely hope the word gets out to hockey players that a solution exists. NCR treatments are available in Los Angeles, New York, the Seattle area, Boulder, and even London, England.
Before leaving the topic of concussion treatment, I feel it is important to address the psychosomatic (mind-over-body) aspects involved with injuries and introduce two breakthrough technologies for handling these issues. The first addresses the modern science of mental health and is the subject of the best-selling self-help book of all-time, embraced by some of Hollywood’s top stars and is growing in popularity at an unprecedented rate. Not only is this technology extremely effective, it also very affordable. In fact, you can learn to do it yourself in a few hours with this dvd or have it professionally administered to you for less than $25/hour.
The second technology for assisting the body to heal more rapidly is explained in the following booklet. If you’d prefer, you can download a free copy of the same booklet and get free online support to learn how to do it yourself, with this free online course. The results from these last two healing technologies mentioned cannot be overstated.
– AVOIDING TRAGEDY –
Lastly, I wanted to touch on a very sensitive topic relating to hockey. Being such a huge hockey fan myself, I was saddened to learn that three NHL players died this summer: Derek Boogaard, Rick Rypien and Wade Belak. All were tough guys who according to news reports, succumbed to depression. My condolences go out to the friends and family of these men.
Depression has become such a devastating issue in today’s society. It is my hope that doctors and patients will consider all information and options that are available before making decisions about treating mental health disorders. If you are a parent with school-age children, I urge you to watch the film, “Dead Wrong” before allowing your child to be prescribed psychiatric drugs. You can watch the film for free at this link. Those who are indifferent or even supportive of psychiatry may benefit from watching one of the other four films at this link.
Fortunately, there are effective alternatives to psychiatric drugs, which can be found on this page. It’s been my pleasure writing this update for you. I hope you enjoyed it and can put some of the information to use to benefit you or those you care about.
Be well,
